Family Farm and Small Business Exclusion Act - Senate

Thank you for supporting this campaign from PASFAA. As we met with Congressional offices in May, we urged each office to consider supporting the Family Farm and Small Business Exclusion Act. We believe this act is vital in making sure that millions of students in our Commonwealth still have access to both federal and state funding. If family farms and small businesses are included in the calculation, we could see students lose eligibility (see NASFAA Case Study #6). Currently, family farms and small businesses with under 100 employees are not included in the calculation for a student's EFC, but beginning with the 2024-2025 FAFSA, they will be included in a student's SAI. Let's see if we can get both of our Senators to sign on to this bill!
